Parramatta. Sydney Water wins national award

Sydney Water’s desalination project won the National Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) award, having won the NSW AIPM award last month. The desalination project was the best project in the Construction/Engineering category for projects excess of $100 million. The project is the largest water project in NSW since Warragamba Dam was built 50 years ago, and will help secure Sydney's water supply as the population increases and rainfall becomes less dependable. The project was delivered on time and $89 million under budget, and with an exemplary safety performance, the Parramatta-based utility said.
