$100 million recycled sewage scheme

AquaNet Sydney is the NSW Government's preferred tenderer to design, build and operate a $100 million industrial recycled water scheme. Construction of the recycled water plant at Fairfield will commence in late 2008 with 4.3 billion litres of "treated water" annually available from the end of 2010 or early 2011 to industrial and commercial customers in Rosehill and Smithfield, including Rosehill Gardens, Visy Paper, Boral and James Hardie.

The ANZ Bank branch in Westfield may open on Sundays, as well as Saturdays, if its application to the Department of Commerce is approved ... The local economy will get a boost when racing returns to Rosehill Gardens this weekend following the equine influenza outbreak; the STC has put back the Golden Slipper to April 19 ... Jeff Casser, of Hog's Breath Cafe, corner of Windsor and Boundary roads, North Parramatta, has won the award for local store marketing ... Sydney Water has presented Janine Cannell, Coca-Cola Amatil's environment manager, with an award for her commitment to water conservation in the workplace, making its Northmead plant one of the most water-efficient beverage plants in Sydney.
